The Chaplain of Trinity Chapel at Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH) Yola, Prof Felix Ilesani was reportedly kidnapped by unknown gunmen on Thursday evening.
The Department of Urban and Regional Planning lecturer was kidnapped from his residence at the staff quarters of the university campus in Girei, headquarters of Girei Local Government Area of Adamawa state.
Adamawa State’s Police spokesperson, DSP Suleiman Nguroje who confirmed the incident said it was reported to the police by the Chief Security Officer of the university. He further disclosed that police officers have been deployed to rescue the University Don and arrest the kidnappers.
