Basetsana Kumalo melts hearts with the way she celebrated her 47th birthday this year.
The former Miss SA is grateful for this year’s celebration, as this time in 2020, she marked a new age at home during lockdown, and no outing was allowed.
Expressing her gratitude, the TV personality celebrated her birthday in a mall with lots of kids and adults.
Basetsana scooped photos of the birthday celebration on event.
“Being the 29th of March 2021, distinctly being a year when we had been locked down as a country and the world because of a virus that none of us could have ever imagined will visit humanity,” she said.
“To those of us who have lost our loved ones family and friends, on my birthday allow me to pay my respect, tribute and send my condolences. It’s not easy.”
“Today is a new dawn as the sun rises again and so it shall be that we live in a new hope, purpose and thanksgiving to be blessed with another breath.”
“All I have is Gratitude and a heart full of joy as I journey onto chapter 47 of my life. Happiest of birthdays to me,” she concluded.
