The result which everyone expected came to fruition on Monday night in London.
Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was named ‘FIFA’s Best’ at a gala event in the English capital.
Ronaldo beat Leo Messi and Neymar to the top prize. And, after the votes were released, it was clear that Ronaldo won the vote by a landslide.
Cristiano Ronaldo won 43.16 % of the vote. Barcelona star Lionel Messi was second with 19.25 % , while PSG star Neymar managed to get 6.97%.
Everyone loved Cristiano Ronaldo Jr
That Ronaldo won the top prize surprised few.
That’s after Real Madrid won La Liga and the Champions League last season.
Ronaldo also scored more than 50 goals in all competitions in 2016-17, although Leo Messi was La Liga’s top scorer.
When the Portuguese forward went on stage to collect his award, the cameras revealed the reaction of his eldest son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr.
Rather than focusing on his dad, Ronaldo Jr locked his eyes on Leo Messi.
It’s well known the Ronaldo Jr is a huge Messi fan. That was revealed in Ronaldo’s feature length movie.
