Friendship is a bond to cherish for life. And so are the people you call friends. Everyone wishes to spend more and more time with their friends.
Your friends may or may not be the most important thing to you. But spending time out with your friends can usually cause a huge dent in your pocket. It might make you short of money for your other activities and shopping sprees.
So, while going out with friends is amazing and should be done once in a while. It is recommended to have some fun and cheaper ways to spend time with friends instead of splurging all the cash at once.
1. Have a game night
This is the simplest and most fun way to have fun with your friend. Have a fun game night with your friends. Organize a queue of 4-5 games in a row, which you all can enjoy with some light snacks like popcorn and soda. You could line up games like Monopoly, Twister, Pictionary, Charades, Card games, Poker and many such games. This will give you’ll a great opportunity to have fun together and you’ll will save on a lot of money than going to an expensive club or a café.
2. Organize a movie marathon
If you and your friends are movie fanatics, bring in DVDs of movies that you always loved watching and some new movies. Organize a marathon of 12 hours which would involve you guys seeing about 6 movies back to back without rest. You can rent DVDs like Star Wars or Die Hard which are epic and a lot of fun to watch with your friends.
3. Watch old sitcoms together
If you aren’t a movie fan, but love the sitcoms you’ll can watch a whole lot of episodes of FRIENDS, How I met your mother, Big Bang Theory, Rules of Engagement, Two and a Half Men and many such epic comedy sitcoms which will have you guys rolling out of your seats without spending a penny.
4. Go for a trek with your pals
Enjoy a day out by going for a trek with your friends. This will save a lot of money and will also bring you closer to nature. You all can have a good photo session amongst all the greenery as well.
5. Join a hobby class together
If you and your friends share common hobbies like dancing, drawing or singing, join a hobby class together. You will learn things and will get some decent time together. Your parents might even support you financially when it comes to you learning something new. Finance would not be a problem for you even in this case.
6. Study together
Exams are on your head, and you aren’t getting time to spend with your friend, also you aren’t able to concentrate on your studies. What should you do? Mix them up and try to study with your pal. This way you both can help each other with doubts and also take breaks between studies to refresh your minds.
7. Go to the park together
What is better than a walk in the park with your friends? Sitting around in the shade of lovely trees with the sun setting and you having your friends around, seems like a fun idea. Get some munchies or wafers to accompany you and have a ball with your friends at the park.
8. Window shopping at malls
If you are a girl, probably malls are something you can’t resist. That doesn’t mean that you have to shop there or eat there. Go out to the malls with your friends, but decide that you won’t buy anything or will stick to a budget. Make sure you eat at a local cafeteria and not at the mall in order to save some quick bucks.
