ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC has given a huge hint that he is not ready to hang up his boots just yet – by wearing them in bed.
The Swedish striker has had a tough week as he battles to overcome a knee injury, with the news that he has been released by Manchester United.
The club decided not to take up the option of offering another year to the 35-year-old, but he is still continuing his rehabilitation at Old Trafford – which means he could STILL play for them next season.
And in a bizarre video posted on his official Instagram page, Ibrahimovic showed off a pair of new Nike football boots that he was wearing while in bed.
Shot to a backdrop of spaghetti western music playing out, the legendary striker peels back the covers to reveal he even sleeps in his boots.
The Premier League club’s website’s released list reveals the solitary name of Ibrahimovic under United’s released list – despite the veteran being their top scorer last term.
Ibra finished as the Red Devils’ top scorer with 28 goals but an ACL injury threw his future up in the air, despite his strong season at Old Trafford.
The 35-year-old prolific forward agreed a one-year contract, with an option for second season on arrival last summer.
But Ibrahimovic had surgery on his damaged knee and appears to be well ahead of schedule as he has already been back kicking a football.
