State police said an 18-year-old Abingdon man is dead after rear-ending a tractor-trailer along I-81 in Washington Co.
State police said Kirk E. Nairn, 18, of Abingdon, Va. is dead.
Nairn was traveling on I-81N when his car failed to brake in time for slowing traffic ahead. Nairn rear-ended a northbound tractor-trailer
The driver of the truck was not injured in the crash.
Police said alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
