Argentinian football legend, Diego Maradona has described Cristiano Ronaldo as a sorcerer with pure power. This he stated in reaction to the Portuguese’s performance in Juventus game against Atletico Madrid.
The game which was a second leg UEFA Champions League round of sixteen tie saw Ronaldo scoring a hat-trick which helped erase a 2-0 loss they suffered at Madrid.
Describing the magical night experienced in the world of football on Tuesday, Maradona said:
“There are players who have been touched by a magic wand. We Argentines are proud that Lionel Messi is Argentinian.
“The other one is an animal. Ronaldo is pure power, and now he’s also a sorcerer. He said he’d score three goals and he scored three goals.”
Ronaldo netted his eighth Champions League hat-trick to draw level with Messi.
The goals on the night also extended his record tally to 124 goals in 160 matches. The Portuguese has scored 63 times in the knockout stages.
