President-elect Donald Trump blasted the election recount on Saturday, calling it “a scam” and “ridiculous” adding that Hillary Clinton had already conceded. He said the fundraising ploy by the Green Party and its nominee, Jill Stein was just a way to make some money.
He said:
“This recount is just a way for Jill Stein, who received less than one percent of the vote overall and wasn’t even on the ballot in many states, to fill her coffers with money, most of which she will never even spend on this ridiculous recount.”
Jill Stein was the presidential candidate for the Green Party. She had a fundraising where she requested $2.5million for the election recount in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania and fortunately raised over $5 million online for the recount in Wisconsin, which may begin some time next week. Then she raised her target to $7million saying that she needed the extra funds for her lawyers.
After Trump complained about the recount, he went on his twitter page and wrote:
“The Green Party scam to fill up their coffers by asking for impossible recounts is now being joined by the badly defeated & demoralized Dems.”
