In Chinese traditions, it is believed that if a husband carries his pregnant wife over burning coals bare feet, the wife will have easy and successful labor.
Once the pregnancy is confirmed, the father-to-be carries his pregnant wife over amber colored, burning coal. It is said that if the father successfully does this, the mother will have a smooth, and less painful labor.
The men do this painful ritual because the mother of the child during the pregnancy has 9 months of raging hormones, and pain, they don’t think that they should have an easy journey either.
Pregnancy is one thing that every girl looks forward and every husband or family want the pregnancy to pass fine.

Immediately the society learns that the wife is pregnant the man will have to carry the wife over a hot burning coal. This is done to subject the man to the same pain the wife will undergo during her 9 month of pregnancy.
Despite this community begin okay with their ritual, other people condemn this rituals with claims it is torture to the man because walking on coal seems very unreasonable to just “make it easier” for their pregnant wives.
Chinese women have to drink a potent herbal solution or liquid to help them have a less painful labor. Delivery of the child traditionally happens in an armchair like furniture or even a futon in some cases.
Prayers and gifts are offered to the Goddess of Fertility after a successful delivery.
These traditions might sound painful but are very important part of the Chinese culture.
