On Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at exactly 11:30pm, Nigeria’s DJ Obi kicked off his attempt to break the Guinness World Record for Longest Marathon Club DJing.
For the next nine days, Obi will be spinning at Sao Café located in Lekki Phase 1.
Obi kicked off minute-one of his 240hours at 11:30pm, by mixing mostly house music from different countries.

In attendance on his opening night were Don Jazzy, Lynx*x, Dr Sid and Omawumi, his family, fans and supporters who came out to encourage the DJ on his first day of ten.
The current Guinness World Record for the Longest Marathon Club DJing, set in Dublin, Ireland in 2014 stands at 200 hours. Obi is aiming to smash that record and he is ready to go as far as hitting 240 hours.
