Baseball star, Michael Kopech and his wife, Vanessa Morgan are getting divorced just days after the Candian actress announced they were expecting a baby boy together.y
The Chicago White Sox pitcher, 24, filed for divorce in his home state of Texas on June 19, The Chicago Tribune reported, citing court records. The documents were filed in Morris County and a hearing date was not listed, according to the outlet.
A representative for Morgan confirmed to PEOPLE that Kopech is the father of Morgan’s baby on the way, but declined to comment on the divorce filing.
Last Friday, July 24, the 28-year-old actress shared photos and videos from her gender reveal party, where she revealed that she’s having a baby boy. But Kopech did not appear in any of the pictures or videos.
The couple got engaged last July, after a year of dating and tied the knot this January in an intimate ceremony at the Walton Historic House in Florida.
